Camping Near Darlington Raceway

Home of races like the BoJangles’ Southern 500, VFW Sport Clips Help A Hero 200, and many other events, make Darlington Raceway the place to be! There are numerous places to stay in Darlington, SC but only a few that offer camping near Darlington Raceway. We’ve done the research so you don’t have to but keep in mind that these spots fill up fast so get yours reserved soon before they’re all gone!

Camping at the Track

Camping at the track offers something more than just the thrill of the race. You’ll be able to tailgate with other race fans and enjoy events in a way that no other fans can! Geico has sponsored a handful of areas both infield and out for people to set up camp right at the track.

Infield Camping
There are four different infield camping areas. These areas include Geico Red, Green, and Yellow, and an RV Park. You get up close views of all the action with these sites! The red, green, and yellow areas all offer 15’x30’ sites and have enough room for your camper and an additional vehicle. The red site is located between turns 3 and 4 and include infield admission for two. Yellow and Green include 4 infield admission passes. The RV park offers spots that are 15’x40’ with electrical and water hook ups and include admission to the infield for two.

Outside Camping
There are other options that aren’t on the infield if that’s a little too up close and personal for you. Outside you’ll find another RV Park as well as a Geico campground for tent campers. The Geico RV Park has two areas, both which are named after NASCAR heroes. Petty Blvd offers 20’x40’ spots with water in a centralized location and Pearson Blvd offers 20’x50’ spots but you’ll need to fill your tank before you arrive. Located right behind the Darlington Raceway Credential building is the Geico Campground for tent campers with sites that are 15’x30’.  Tent camping is not permitted in any RV areas so ensure that if you need at tent spot you book it as soon as possible as these spots are limited.

Swamp Fox

Located just a short drive from the track, Swamp Fox has over 60 sites available, 30 of which are pull through. Sites are 30’x60’ and offer different amenities depending on the site you choose. The majority of them have full hookups while a handful only have water or electric. Modern restrooms with showers and laundry facilities are available to all campers and you will also enjoy a whirlpool, pond, rec hall, horseshoes, and a playground for the kids!

Florence RV Park

While this is an RV park don’t let that discourage you if you don’t have one. Tent camping is also allowed at Florence RV Park. This park is pet friendly so bring along your furry friends! There are 120 sites, more than 60 of which offer full hookups. RVers will be happy to know that all 120 sites are pull through which makes entering and exiting much easier. Modern restrooms and showers are available as well as laundry facilities, a self service RV wash, and free wi-fi. On the grounds you will find a swimming pool, pond, playground, game room and horseshoes!

Lee State Natural Area

Located just a half hour away is this gorgeous pet friendly state park. They offer 25 spaces, 11 of which are pull through. Each site has water and electrical hook ups but no sewer and all sites are dirt. At the grounds you will find restrooms with showers, a self serve RV wash, and a river with a boat ramp. This may be a little out of the way but it is a much quieter and more affordable option. You will need a state park pass to enjoy this park whether camping or just visiting so plan on ensuring you pick one up or purchase at the gate.
