Camping Near Pocono International Raceway

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series makes its second visit to Pocono International Raceway in the last six weeks this coming weekend.

Drivers and fans will converge on the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania for the GoBowling.com 400.

In June, Jimmie Johnson drove away from the field on the 2.5 mile tri-oval to take the checkered flag.

Many race fans make a trip to the race a vacation as there is plenty to do in the Pocono Mountains.

For those planning on attending the race this week there are plenty of camping options located near the raceway.

Here are three such campgrounds that offer RV camping for those planning on attending this week’s race.

HEMLOCK CAMPGROUNDHEMLOCK CAMPGROUND

Is located in nearby Tobyhanna and is about 20 minutes from the raceway.

This campground has 90 sites and offers the following:

Water, electric, sewer sites for Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheel, Toy Hauler, and Motorhomes
Dump station
Cable TV
Free WiFi
Laundry
Clean restrooms
Fully stock store

Rates run from $47-$57 a night with a three-day minimum stay. They also rent cabins and cottages.

MOUNT POCONO CAMPGROUND

Is located 15 minutes from the raceway in the city of Mount Pocono.

This campground has well over 100 RV campsites and offers the following amenities:

Full hook-up sites with 20,30,50 amp electric for Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheel, Toy Hauler, and Motorhomes
Free WiFi
Heated pool
Entertainment center
Camp store
Shuttle service to raceway

Rates run from $30-$55 a night and $200-$275 a week.

WT FAMILY CAMPING

Is located 15 minutes from the raceway in the town of Blakeslee.

This campground has over 100 sites and offers the following:

Full hookups for Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheel, Toy Hauler, and Motorhomes
20 and 30 amp service
Heated restrooms
Camp store
Heated pool
Fire rings and picnic tables on each site

Daily rates start at $40 a night with a two night minimum stay during race weekends.

INFIELD CAMPING

Pocono Raceway has a variety of RV camping options for Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheel, Toy Hauler, and Motorhomes to match your specific interest.

Inside the raceway RV camping options are available. If you have an RV, there are four
options to consider: Fenceline, Preferred, reserved or general admission.

Along the outside of the raceway you can choose the Trackside RV area, or Family RV
area.

RV camping ranges from $200-$500 for up to four days of camping.
