It’s Parade Time!

parade

If you love parades, then the Frontier Days Grand Parade will be right up your alley! On four different mornings during the week, you can park yourself along the parade route and watch marching bands and horse-drawn vehicles go by. You’ll also see historic floats created in 1926 that still make the journey from the state capitol building down the parade route. With floats that have names like the Vigilante Float, Hell's Half Acre Saloon Float, and Dazee’s Dance Hall, you don’t want to miss it!

Life on the Trail

Ever wonder what life was like on the trail in the Old West? Get a glimpse into life on the Goodnight Trail over 100 years ago by visiting authentic chuckwagon crews and watching them cook. During the Chuckwagon Cookoff, held on four separate mornings during the week, real chuckwagon crews will compete and be judged based on foods cooked and the state of their wagon, tools, and campsite. Championship buckles will be awarded during the rodeo finals. Located between the Indian Village and Old Frontier Town, samples will be available on July 27th from 11 a.m. -1 p.m., but they go fast!
