The 12 drivers who will compete for NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Championship begin their quest this weekend.
Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois will host the first race for the Chase for the Sprint Cup with Sunday’s Geico 400.
Since 2011 Chicagoland Speedway has hosted the race to kickoff the Chase for the Sprint Cup and they return to the 1.5 mile tri-oval this weekend.
Brad Keselowski kick started his eventual championship with a win at Chicagoland last season.
Built in 2001, Chicagoland Speedway draws big crowds from around the Midwest for the race and plenty of those race fans will camp near the race track.
The following are three campgrounds close to the speedway that can accommodate campers, fifth wheels, travel trailers and motorhomes.
PAUL AND MARY’S RACEWAY CAMPING
Located on a 15 acre farm that is two miles from the speedway.
The campground offers free shuttle service to the race and offers the following amenities for Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheels, Toy Haulers, and Motorhomes:
• Septic pump out
• Hot showers
Rates for the race run from Thursday thru Monday and are $290 for electric sites, $165 for pull thru sites and $150 for non-electric sites.

GREEN FIELDS CAMPGROUND
This campground is located 1.5 miles from the speedway and offers free shuttle rides to the race.
The campground offers RV campers the following things:
• 30 amp electric for Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheels, Toy Haulers, and Motorhomes
• Permanent showers
• Septic Service
• Garbage removal
Rates for race weekend are $300 for a 25 x 50 electric site and $180 for a 25 x 50 non electric site.

Chicagoland Speedway offers several on-site camping options for for Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheels, Toy Haulers, and Motorhomes.
