Timber Ridge CampgroundThe Timber Ridge RV and Recreational Resort has a variety of options for accommodations, ensuring that your stay will be comfortable and fun. There are full hookups for your RV, including cable and a patio if you choose! If you're arriving without an RV in tow, they offer tent camping and have cabins and cottages to choose from! There are basic or deluxe cabins, bunkhouses, cottages, or park homes to rent. The cabins can accommodate 3 people and the bunkhouses have room for up to 11, so bring your whole family for a fun getaway! The campground has modern bathhouses with showers and toilets. There are also convenient laundry facilities on site so you can wash your clothes (and pack less of them). For entertainment, all campers can enjoy use of the lodge, pool, playground, and bike park! The lodge offers a relaxing place to sit with other campers and watch TV, play a board game, or read a book! Buy snacks and souvenirs in the lodge. There is also a propane filling station on site so you won't need to leave the campground to fill up your tank!

Timber Ridge TrailsTimber Ridge's beautiful trails connect to the Vasa Pathway, which has loops that vary in size from 3K to 25K! These trails are perfect for walking, biking, hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and more!

Winter Fun

Imagine walking out of your heated cabin into the surrounding winter wonderland! You can do that here at Timber Ridge! Enjoy snowmobiling, skiing, snow biking, and snowshoeing. If you don't have your own equipment, there are plenty of rental options both at Timber Ridge and in the surrounding areas! They even have their annual "Suds and Snow" event where you can enjoy beer, wine, and cider along with great food and live music!

Activities in the Timber Ridge AreaIf you want to venture out of the RV park and explore the surrounding area, you'll love what you find in Traverse City, voted the Greatest Midwest Town by Midwest Living Magazine. Color Tour Traverse City during the fall is a spectacular show of vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows! Cruise through all the winding roads along the two large bays and create your own scenic color tour. Breweries and Wineries Traverse City and the surrounding areas are home to many award-winning wineries. Check out Wineries of Old Mission Peninsula and Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail. While the wineries are magnificent, the drive to get there is amazing too! There are a host of breweries in the area that make great beer and delicious food. You'll find microbrews, IPAs, and the freshest hops around. You can taste all different kinds of beer and figure out which you like best! Be sure to check out North Peak Brewing Company and Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales! Baseball Batter up! Attend a Traverse City Beach Bums baseball game for a great family time at the ballpark. Enjoy hot dogs and soda at the concessions and fireworks after select games. Take advantage of occasional promotions and the farmer's, craft, and flea market on site. Grab your gloves and come on down! Maybe you'll catch a foul ball! Golf With 17 golf courses in the area, don't forget to pack your clubs! Traverse City Festivals


Festivals in the Timber Ridge AreaTraverse City likes to celebrate! Not only do they host the National Cherry Festival every July, but it is also home to other cultural and musical events. Cherry Festival Cherry pits were introduced to the Traverse City area over 400 years ago by the early settlers. Because of the climate of the area, Traverse City was the perfect location to grow them. In 1910, cherry growers began having an informal meeting to bless the cherry blossoms, and this eventually became known as the National Cherry Festival. During this week-long festival, there are pie contests, an air show featuring the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds, a huge Cherry Festival parade, a cherry pit spitting contest, concerts, an amusement park, a beer tent, turtle races, and so much more. Film Festival Bringing in filmmakers from all over the world, the Traverse City Film Festival shows old, classic movies as well as films by unknown filmmakers on inflatable, outdoor screens. This festival aims to spread appreciation for the art of filmmaking. It is held every year in late July into early August. Summer Microbrew & Music Festival You already know there are tons of breweries in the area, so it only makes sense to have a festival to celebrate them! This festival takes place in the winter and offers live music, local artwork, and tons of vendors! You can also catch a shuttle to and from some of the hotels in the area so you don't have to worry about how to get back safely once you've sampled some of the delicious brews!
