The Chase for Sprint Cup literally returns home this weekend.
With so many of the NASCAR teams headquartered near Charlotte, North Carolina the Charlotte Motor Speedway is like a home track.
With that as a backdrop, the Chase for The Sprint Cup hits the halfway point with Saturday night’s Bank of America 500.
After the completion of this race on the 1.5 quad oval there will only be five races left in The Chase and a clearer picture should emerge on who the serious title contenders will be.
Kevin Harvick drove to a win in the Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte back in June and he will look to pull the Charlotte double on Saturday night.
There is not a better way for NASCAR to mark the halfway point of The Chase for the Sprint Cup by returning to its roots.
165,000 fans will gather once again during early October for NASCAR racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
With that in mind here are several camping options if you are planning to attend the Bank of America 500.
