Many of you snowbirds will be planning that trip down I-75 to Florida soon after the Christmas holiday is concluded.
With that in mind, I would like to recommend a pair of RV Parks found near the halfway point to Florida and in close proximity to I-75.
Kentucky Horse Park Campground in Lexington, Kentucky and Best Holiday Trav-L-Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The Kentucky Horse Park Campground is located at exit 120 and just .9 miles off I-75.
This 260-site RV campground is next door to the Kentucky Horse Park, which is an equine theme park and competition facility celebrating man’s relationship with the horse.
Kentucky Horse Park’s RV sites are all 55’ paved back-ins and also include:
• 50/30/20 amp electric and water
• Two dump stations
• Wireless internet
• Fire rings and picnic tables at each site
• Grocery store and gift shop
• Two bathhouses with modern conveniences
• Swimming pool
Kentucky Horsepark Campground also has electric primitive and primitive campsites available for those wishing for a more rustic stay.
The cost is $23 per night or $161 per week through March 26th.

This 171-site RV Park is located on a Civil War battlefield, which served as a skirmish site in 1863 preceding the Battle of Chickamauga.
Almost all of Best Holiday Trav-L-Park’s sites are pull-through, graveled and also come with:
• 30/50 amp electric
• Water hookup
• Cable TV connections
• Showers and restrooms
• Grocery RV store
Best Holiday Trav-L-Park also offers tent camping, rustic camping cabins and camping cottages.
The nightly price for RV camping is $37 per two people and they do offer weekly rates.
