Not only can you throw things in it and just leave it for the day, but everything just seems to taste better from it. So, enjoy some more wintertime RV recipes to help you refuel after a fun day of playing in the snow!
Crockpot Chili Mac
What can make chili even better? Adding macaroni to it! This makes it even more filling and more of a comfort food. Chili is a winter staple, so give this crockpot chili mac a try!
1 lb. ground chuck
1 small onion, chopped
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 can chili beans (30 oz.)
1 can tomato sauce (28 oz.)
1 can diced tomatoes (15 oz.)
2 C. water
2 beef bullion cubes
1 Tbsp. of your favorite chili powder
½ tsp. cumin
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. black pepper
8 oz. uncooked macaroni
Step 1: Brown the ground chuck and drain the grease.
Step 2: Add all ingredients to your slow cooker and mix well. Cook on low for 2 ½ hours.
Crockpot Beef Stew
Beef stew can sure hit the spot after a day out in the cold. The beef offers protein and the veggies give you vitamins. The best thing is, it cooks itself and it’s all there in one pot and done when you come back!
1 lb. stew beef
2 Tbsp. flour
3 C. potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 C. carrots, peeled and chopped
1 C. celery, chopped
1 onion, diced
2 bay leaves
1½ C. beef broth
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Step 1: Toss the beef in the flour, and then place it in the crockpot.
Step 2: Place the carrots, onion, potatoes, and celery on top of the beef and top with the bay leaves.
Step 3: Pour in the broth and Worcestershire sauce and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours.
Crockpot Mac & Cheese
Get ready to experience the most delicious mac & cheese you’ve ever had! This recipe will for sure have you wanting more so make sure you freeze the leftovers for another meal!
2 C. elbow macaroni
2 C. shredded cheddar cheese
1 C. shredded provolone cheese
¼ C. freshly grated parmesan cheese
½ C. sour cream
½ C. mayonnaise
4 oz. cream cheese
1 can evaporated milk (12 oz.)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
½ tsp. dry mustard
Step 1: Cook the elbow macaroni until it’s still firm. It will finish cooking in the crockpot.
Step 2: Line the crockpot with a liner, or spray it with cooking spray. The liner will make clean-up a ton easier!
Step 3: Place the macaroni, cheeses, sour cream, mayo, salt, pepper, and dry mustard into the crockpot, stir, and then pour the evaporated milk over it.
Step 4: Cook on low for an hour, stir, and then cook for another 1 ½ hours. Stir before serving!
Crockpot Beef Stroganoff
This dish is creamy and delicious. You can’t get a better or easier stroganoff recipe! Throw it in the crockpot and go hit the ski slopes!
1 lb. stew beef
1 large onion, chopped
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 C. milk
2 cans cream of mushroom soup (10.56 oz.)
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
½ C. sour cream
1 C. fresh mushrooms
¼ C. Worcestershire sauce
16 oz. egg noodles
Step 1: Heat the oil in a frying pan. Meanwhile, season the beef with the garlic salt. Place the onion and beef in the frying pan and cook until the onions are translucent and the meat is just browned on the outside. Place the meat and onions in the crockpot and top with the mushrooms.
Step 2: In a separate bowl combine the milk, soup, cream cheese, sour cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.
Step 3: Pour the sauce over the meat, onions, and mushrooms and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
Step 4: After 4-6 hours, cook the egg noodles according to the package, drain, and add to the crockpot, stirring to coat the noodles with the sauce.
