NASCAR fans rejoice! Speedweeks are about to be in full swing with the Daytona 500 bringing up the rear! From mid-February until the end of the month, you can head to Florida to catch some intense racing events. If you're heading down in an RV, there are plenty of options for overnight accommodations! We’ve gathered up some information on staying right at the track as well as a few other places nearby. Check these out!
Staying at the Track
It doesn't get any more exhilarating than staying right at the track! You're close to the action and surrounded by thousands of screaming NASCAR fans! There are a few options for staying at Daytona International Speedway to fit any experience you’re looking to have or your budget!
Gecko Shores at Lake Lloyd
This campground is the hottest one in the area! You’ll find premium camping, complete with a waterfront spot, right in the infield! What more could you want? For around $3K you'll enjoy these amenities:
- A 20’ x 50’ spot with a 20’ x 40’ paved pad for easy set up and leveling
- Access to come and go from the infield for your tow vehicle or a separate vehicle
- Infield wristbands for two adults (kids 12 & under get in free)
- Water hookups and 50-amp service
- Amazing views of Lake Lloyd and the Backstretch
Geico Grounds Red—Premium
Right near Gecko Shores at Lake Lloyd is Geico Grounds Red, which offers premium RV camping! This campground does not offer waterfront spots, and the cost is less than Gecko Shores. It’s about $220 cheaper! Here’s what you’ll get at this location:
- A 20’ x 40’ grass site
- Access to come and go from the infield for your tow vehicle or a separate vehicle
- Infield wristbands for two adults (kids 12 & under get in free)
- Water hookups and 50-amp service
Geico Grounds Red—Non-Premium
If hookups aren’t a big deal for you, look for a non-premium site in the Geico Grounds Red campground. You enjoy the same amenities as the premium sites, just without hookups! It’s also almost $1.5K cheaper!
Geico Grounds Yellow—Premium
If the turns on the track are your favorite part of watching a race, then the Geico Grounds Yellow premium campground is perfect for you! Found right inside turns one and two, you’ll be nose to nose with the action! Not to mention there are lots of amenities here! You’ll enjoy:
- A 20’ x 40’ grass site
- Access to come and go from the infield for your tow vehicle or a separate vehicle
- Infield wristbands for two adults (kids 12 & under get in free)
- Water hookups at some sites, and 50-amp service at all sites
Geico Grounds Yellow—Non-Premium
If you want the same action-packed experience of being right there on the curve but don’t need hookups, check out the Geico Yellow camping area with a non-premium site! It’s also located inside turns one and two and includes everything you get in the premium yellow with the exception of hookups!
Geico Grounds Green
Turn four boasts the Geico Green campground! This is another area where you can stay in the action as the cars go speeding past you! As you relax and experience the action you’ll also enjoy:
- A 20’ x 40’ grass site
- Access to come and go from the infield for your tow vehicle or a separate vehicle
- Infield wristbands for two adults (kids 12 & under get in free)
Geico Horseshoe
If you want to be on the turn but being right up front is just too much for you, check out the Geico Horseshoe area! This spot is inside turn one but a little farther back than the yellow grounds! Here you’ll get:
- A 20’ x 40’ grass site
- Access to come and go from the infield for your tow vehicle or a separate vehicle
- Infield wristbands for two adults (kids 12 & under get in free)
Geico Campgrounds
Tent campers, they haven’t forgotten about you! In fact there’s a special area just for you! The Geico campgrounds are located inside turns three and four so you can be close to the action as well! Here’s what you get:
- A 20’ x 35’ grass site
- Infield wristbands for two adults (kids 12 & under get in free)
- Modern restrooms within the campground and showers not too far away!
Geico Park West
If being in the infield scares you, then Geico Park West is the way to go! This area is located outside of turns one and two and gets you close without having to be in the middle of the track! At Geico Park West you’ll find:
- A 20’ x 45’ site
- A car pass to come and go as needed
This one doesn’t include any wristbands, so you need to make sure you purchase your tickets or wristbands separately.

RV Parks and Campgrounds Nearby
Whether you don’t want to deal with the crowds or you just don’t want to pay that much, staying right at the track may not be what you’re looking for. There are plenty of other options in the area to choose from. Here are some of the best-rated RV parks and campgrounds in the area.
FinishLine RV Park
Right across the street from the finish line is FinishLine RV Park! The great thing about this park is that it’s not right on the grounds, but it’s still within walking distance so you don’t have to worry about parking! At this campground they offer:
- Some power sites
- Potable water areas
- Port-a-potties
- On-site pump truck

International RV Park and Campground
Just a few miles down the road from the track is International RV Park and Campground. During Speedweeks there is a required 5-day minimum stay, so make sure you plan on staying the entire time. You’ll find amenities such as:
- Full hookups including cable and Wi-Fi
- Various sites including paved, grass, and sand
- Back-in, pull-thru, and big-rig access
- A general store that includes propane sales
- Two heated swimming pools
- Modern restrooms with showers

Only about six miles from the speedway is Daytona Beach RV Resort. It’s also really close to the beach, so when you’re not at the track you can enjoy some sun and surf! You’ll find amenities such as:
