It's one of the most spectacular theme parks around, with attractions for any age including several record-holding roller coasters! Chances are, you've probably already visited Cedar Point, whether on a school trip or on a family getaway, but this park is constantly innovating and upgrading, so there's always something new to try out. It's also the perfect place to bring your RV for your vacation, so pack up your great RV from your favorite Muskegon RV dealer, Lakeshore RV, park, play and enjoy Cedar Point.
Roller Coaster Capital of the World
There are so many incredible roller coasters at Cedar Point, you'll soon find out why it is dubbed the Roller Coaster Capital of the World! You'll definitely want to take more than one day in the park so you can ride them as much as possible. With an impressive 17 different coasters, there's something for riders of all ages. In fact, I rode my first-ever roller coaster, the Blue Streak, at Cedar Point when I was only six years old! Cedar Point has been taking great strides over the past decade to bring you some of the most thrilling coasters in the world! One of the newest (and record-breaking) coasters is the Valravn. This is the tallest, longest, and fastest dive coaster in the world, peaking at 223-feet tall, 75 miles-per-hour, and complete with a scream-inducing pause that builds suspense for one of the best rides out there! The top thrill dragster, despite being almost 15 years old, once held the title of the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world, and is still extremely popular, as is the Millennium Force, which broke six world records when it opened back in 2000. The Maverick is a wonderfully wild ride that shouldn't be missed, but you should really try out the beyond-thrilling Gatekeeper, which breaks seven world records! That is what's so great about Cedar Point—even if you visited last year, chances are you'll be able to ride something new and exciting this year!
Scream-Inducing Thrill Rides
If you want to take a break from roller coasters, Cedar Point features plenty of other fun thrill rides for the family. From carnival rides like the Scrambler and the super-daring SlingShot to even some refreshing water rides, the screams will be plentiful! The park is known for removing older rides and replacing them with new thrills (anyone else miss the Demon Drop?). Personally, I love the swinging and spinning action of maXair!
Family Fun For Everyone!
If you're bringing little campers along with you, no worries! Cedar Point features plenty of fun family and kid's rides that are sure to have your kids reminiscing for weeks. Bumper cars, carousels, and a Ferris wheel provide classic fun, but the Peanuts-themed rides and activities will entertain the kids for hours. There are also a variety of fun shows to attend, which is a great way to cool off in the air conditioning on those hot days!
Make a Splash At Cedar Point Shores Water Park
When it's time to cool off, head to the new Cedar Point Shores waterpark, which features an amazing array of all-new attractions across 18 acres that will leave everyone feeling refreshed! Kids will enjoy splashing around Lemmy's Lagoon and the awesome Lakeslide Landing, while bigger visitors will enjoy racing down Riptide Raceway or the Storm Surge. More adventurous thrill seekers will absolutely love the incredible Point Plummet, which drops riders six stories as the floor moves out from underneath for a thrill like you've never felt before!
Lighthouse Point Campground
Although Cedar Point features a great selection of on-site hotels for a relaxing stay, it also features a fantastic campground for great family fun. Lighthouse Point
features 321 sites including cabins and cottages. You'll find RV sites with full hookups, both back-in and pull-through sites, concrete pads, and picnic tables. Not only will your stay be enjoyable, but you'll appreciate added perks like discounted park tickets, early admission to the park (one hour before the general public), shuttle service, and more!
Other Exciting Activities
Although the top speed thrills make for a day of fun, Cedar Point makes your stay worthwhile with an array of activities available throughout the summer and into the fall. If you love good food and drinks, book a stay and take part in the Brew and BBQ Weekends, or enjoy the colorful Cedar Point Nights, complete with live music, beach bonfires, Beach Glo Party, and fireworks! One of the most popular events of the season is Halloweekends
. Expect to be spooked as you explore the park, which features close to a dozen different haunted houses and scare zones, where frightful characters may catch you off guard as you explore. There are great kid's activities too with a parade, great live shows, a hay bale maze, and a costume contest. With fun like that, you may want to plan two Cedar Point trips this season!
