St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner which means it’s almost time to don your green attire in search of lucky four-leaf clovers, pots of gold, and mischievous leprechauns. To make sure your St. Patrick’s Day is full of fun and festive enjoyment, Lakeshore RV, your trusted Muskegon RV dealer, has decided to supply you with some awesome crafts and games to try out on this Irish holiday! Whether you’ll be staying at a campground or camping out in your own backyard, these activities are sure to make every onlooker green with envy!

Shamrock Straw Toppers

Add a little St. Paddy’s Day decor to your favorite festive beverage with this fun craft activity! Your little campers will love sipping their drinks with these lucky straws!

Materials:

How To Make:

Step 1: Using your scissors, cut your card stock into 5-inch squares.
Step 2: Fold your squares in half, diagonally. Then fold once more to form a small triangle.
Step 3: Cut the outer points off of your newly shaped triangle.
Step 4: Unfold the first of your folds and cut a small ‘V’-shaped notch in the center of your cardstock toward the bottom.
Step 5: Completely unfold your shamrock and slide it onto your straw through the small opening in the center.

St. Paddy’s Day Wreath

Give your toy hauler or fifth wheel some St. Patrick’s Day flair by helping your little ones make these fun St. Paddy’s Day wreaths! Then hang them on your RV’s front door for all to see!

Materials:

How To Make:

Step 1: On your piece of cardstock, have your little one paint a large red circle. Just inside the red circle, have them paint a ring of orange. Repeat this pattern with all the colors of the rainbow. Remember, ROY G BIV (for the color order).
Step 2: Let your paint dry and then cut out your circle and hollow out the inside to remove the middle, just beyond your purple ring. You should be left with a donut-shaped rainbow.
Step 3: Take your green construction paper and cut out four-leaf clovers. Dab some glue on the back of your clovers and stick them to your wreath. Let the glue dry and then hang up your wreath!

St. Patrick’s Day T-Shirt

Let your kids create their own St. Paddy’s Day attire with this fun t-shirt craft! They’ll be so proud to sport a shirt they made all by themselves!

Materials:

  • A Clover Outline (Can Be Printed Online)

  • A White T-Shirt

  • Freezer Paper

  • Scissors

  • Iron

  • Green Fabric Paint

  • Pencil With An Unused Eraser

How To Make:

Step 1: Trace your clover outline onto a piece of freezer paper and cut it out with scissors.
Step 2: Put the shinier side of your freezer paper face-down on your t-shirt and iron it on.
Step 3: Place a separate sheet of freezer paper inside your shirt to keep the paint from bleeding through.
Step 4: Dip your eraser into green paint and dot around the outline of your clover. Put your dots closer together near the clover and let them spread out and fade as you get farther from it.
Step 5: Let the paint dry before peeling off the freezer paper. Follow the instructions for the fabric paint for after-wash guidelines!

Kiss the Blarney Stone

Draw your own depiction of the infamous Blarney Stone on a large sheet of poster board and hang it on the wall of your recreational vehicle. Put lipstick on each of your participants (preferably green lipstick if you can find it). Blindfold each player and send them toward the poster board. The goal is to plant a kiss directly on the Blarney Stone. The participant that comes closest to kissing the stone wins!

Rainbow Relay Race

Set up your own race course in your backyard or at your campsite. Divide players into two teams and give each player on the team a different colored roll of crepe paper. On “go,” have players race through the course one at a time, unrolling their crepe paper as they go. When they return back to the starting point, the next player on the team will go through the same course, unraveling their streamer roll as well. The first team to complete the course and leave a beautiful rainbow in their wake wins!

Gold Coin Hunt

Send your kids in search of the end of the rainbow with this gold coin hunt! Simply hide several gold coins throughout your campsite. These coins can be whatever you want them to be, but some examples include chocolate gold coins, pennies, butterscotch candies, etc. Set your timer for 3 minutes and send your little leprechauns out on the hunt! After the 3 minutes is up, count who collected the most gold and declare them the winner!
