After the final off-week of the season, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns to the track this week.
This week’s race is one of the most prestigious of the season for both drivers and fans.
On Sunday, Indianapolis Motor Speedway will host the Sam Deeds 400 presented by Crown Royal.
Started in 1994, the Brickyard 400 as it was originally named is the most attended NASCAR race of the season.
Fans pack the 2.5 mile oval to watch stock cars on the relatively flat track.
With the track being right in the city there are a limited number of camping options close to the speedway.
The following are three RV camping options that are located within 15 miles of the speedway.
Has over 100 RV camping sites and is located eight miles from the speedway.

This 70 acre campground has 212 RV sites with electricity.
It is located only seven miles west of the speedway and offers the following things:

Fresh water fill stations
• RV sanitary station
• Sewer pump out
• Hot and cold showers
• Modern restrooms
Fees range from $225 for five days of camping during race week to $30 for a single night of camping.

This campground is 15 miles from the speedway and comes with stocked fishing lakes.
The campground offers nearly 50 RV camping sites and offers the following amenities:

INFIELD CAMPING
RV's are not allowed in the infield of the Speedway unless you wish to purchase a
special permit from the track for $4000.
Most of the camping area around the Speedway is owned by the Speedway. You can buy camping/parking passes from them in advance for Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheels, Toy Haulers, and Motorhomes, cars and tents.
Rates are based on four and five-day stays with electricity sites available from $175-$200 per site and that does not include tickets for the race.
